About The Position

The IT Technical Associate Analyst is responsible for the implementation of technology solutions that support the operational and strategic goals of Eversource. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with subject matter expertise, ensuring that IT projects are delivered efficiently, securely, and in alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Essential Functions: Technical Leadership: Lead the design and architecture of enterprise-level applications and infrastructure. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers, engineers, and analysts. Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, cybersecurity, and system integration. Project Management: Collaborate with project managers to define scope, timelines, and deliverables. Oversee technical aspects of project execution, including code reviews, testing, and deployment. Manage vendor relationships and evaluate third-party solutions. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with business units, operations, and engineering teams to understand requirements. Translate business needs into technical specifications and solutions. Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. System Oversight: Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of IT systems supporting utility operations (e.g. SCADA, GIS, AMI, outage management). Monitor and troubleshoot system issues, ensuring minimal disruption to services. Support disaster recovery planning and execution.

Requirements

  • Understand architecture of enterprise-level applications and infrastructure.
  • Experience working in virtual environments.
  • Experience working in an Azure environment
  • Understanding resource relationships in a virtual and cloud environment.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), and cybersecurity.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems, or equivalent work experience.
  • Zero(0) to three (3) years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Experience in the utility industry or with utility-specific systems (e.g. OMS, CIS, SCADA).
  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications such as Azure AZ 900 a plus
