About The Position

The Solutions Architect – Principal serves as the strategic technology and solution partner for the RFFE Engineering organization. This role acts as the primary architectural bridge between RFFE business and engineering stakeholders and OneIT, ensuring business priorities are translated into scalable, secure, and future‑ready technology solutions. The role is accountable for shaping an integrated solution, application, and data architecture that enables engineering productivity, standardization, and long‑term scalability. Operating across engineering tools, infrastructure, data, and AI platforms, this position plays a key role in advancing Data & AI enablement and improving time‑to‑market for RFFE.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, IT engineering enablement, or enterprise technology roles.
  • Proven experience operating as a senior, business‑facing architect in complex, global environments.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycles, tools, and digital enablement models.
  • Experience shaping application, data, or platform architectures with measurable business impact.
  • Ability to influence across matrixed IT and engineering organizations.
  • 8+ years of IT-specific work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
  • 10+ years of IT-specific work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior architectural point of contact between RFFE Engineering and OneIT.
  • Translate complex engineering and business requirements into end‑to‑end solution architectures, roadmaps, and execution plans.
  • Ensure alignment between RFFE needs and OneIT enterprise platforms, standards, and operating models.
  • Shape and govern an integrated portfolio of applications, platforms, and solutions supporting RFFE Engineering.
  • Provide architectural guidance to ensure optimal scalability, cost efficiency, reliability, and performance.
  • Identify redundancies, technical debt, and opportunities for simplification across the tool landscape.
  • Lead architectural analysis and improvement planning for RFFE‑critical engineering services and infrastructure (e.g., Bench, FC3, Starlab).
  • Partner with platform, infrastructure, and operations teams to drive engineering system resiliency and performance.
  • Establish clear service ownership models for critical RFFE engineering capabilities.
  • Contribute to the RFFE Data & AI strategy aligned with OneIT platforms (e.g., Enterprise Data Hub, AI frameworks).
  • Define architectural approaches for engineering AI use cases, including data models, pipelines, and GPU infrastructure needs.
  • Enable connected data architectures spanning engineering and manufacturing to support analytics and AI‑driven insights.
  • Build trusted advisory relationships with senior RFFE Engineering, Product Management, and Program Management leaders.
  • Enable transparency and decision‑making through architecture trade‑offs, options, and data‑driven recommendations.
  • Influence cross‑domain alignment without direct authority.
