About The Position

Responsible for developing code in support of new application functionality or defect remediation according to design specifications. This role involves coding and documenting software programs, creating and performing unit and integration tests, participating in peer code reviews, and supporting application deployment. The developer will also proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and communicate issues and status effectively. The position requires problem-solving and creativity to develop efficient, reusable software with minimal maintenance.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and REST APIs
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
  • Agile or Scrum required, SAFE Agile is preferred
  • Some Framework exposure to .NET, REACT and Node.js
  • DevOps Experience Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant curriculum required. or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 1 year experience in IT applications to include design, development, test, and maintenance experience in mainframe or server based technologies.
  • Experience with software development methodologies, the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and best practices required.
  • Experience working in teams.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Basic communications (oral and written and interpersonal) skills.
  • Proven ability to develop effective relationships with peers and first level management.
  • This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) desired.
