Krell Institute is seeking a skilled and motivated IT Applications Specialist to help support and enhance technology solutions that power our organization. This onsite position combines application support, web development, systems administration, and business process improvement in a collaborative and mission-driven environment. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• At least one year of experience supporting business applications, websites, or information systems.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Experience with web technologies such as: PHP, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and/or SQL.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal.
• Experience with SharePoint administration or development.
• Familiarity with Linux systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
• Experience using Git or similar version control tools.
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices.
• Experience creating user guides, training materials, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain, and enhance business applications and web-based systems.
• Develop and implement application improvements, workflows, reports, and forms.
• Maintain and update public-facing and internal websites.
• Troubleshoot application and system issues and provide technical support to users.
• Collaborate with departments to identify opportunities for process improvement through technology.
• Assist with database management, application integrations, and system administration activities.
• Participate in software testing, documentation, and project implementation efforts.
• Train users and create documentation that promotes effective use of technology solutions.
• Support cloud-hosted and on-premises systems that enable daily operations.
