About The Position
AMG Tech Support is seeking skilled, driven technicians to support our growing national client base. This role goes far beyond basic helpdesk tasks — one day you might be installing an operating system, the next you're drilling through walls and running structured cabling across entire buildings, or terminating a 66-block. Requirements
- Reliable personal vehicle (Public transportation not accepted)
- Valid driver’s license
- Must have a standard set of tools for basic I.T. and networking tasks (e.g., screwdrivers, cable testers, crimpers).
- Laptop with Ethernet port
- Smartphone with mobile hotspot
- Ability to accept job assignments based on your availability; being on-call 24/7 is a strong advantage.
- Punctual, courteous, and presentable
Nice To Haves
- PC and printer troubleshooting experience (a strong plus)
- At least 1 year of I.T. or Telecom experience , and one of the following: A+ Certification Network+ Certification OR 5+ years verifiable field experience in I.T./Telecom
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of technical tasks including but not limited to: OS installations, hardware diagnostics, and software setup
- Structured cabling (including drilling, running, and dressing cables)
- Telecom work (punch-downs, demarc extensions, etc.)
- Work independently across various environments: retail, medical, restaurant, and corporate
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism with clients
- Be on call and ready to respond to service requests within your territory
