Our manufacturing facilities allow us to serve diverse markets such as Agriculture, Industrial, Municipal, Rental, and Mining. Cornell Pump Company is seeking an IT Analyst to join our growing team onsite in Ashland, OH. This role will be supports an affiliated company by ensuring reliable computer operations and responsive IT support for end users. Location: On-site Ashland, OH Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 DOE Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Requirements

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 4 years equivalent work experience.
  • Certifications in Windows or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in desktop and server hardware, including laptops, workstations, printers and other peripherals.
  • Experience with Mac OS, Windows 11 and Windows Server (2016-2025).
  • Administrator experience with Microsoft 365, antivirus tools, PDF utilities, file compression software, CAD applications, and other business systems.
  • Ability to diagnose, research, and resolve a wide range of computing issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for IT support requests, providing courteous and professional assistance to end users.
  • Use the IT ticketing system to document, track, and manage support requests from initial report through resolution.
  • Gather and document user information and issue details accurately.
  • Prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues; escalate complex problems to appropriate IT staff as needed.
  • Perform hands-on desktop support, including installing and upgrading software and hardware, configuring systems, applying updates, and installing antivirus solutions.
  • Use diagnostic tools, knowledge bases, and online resources to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on workstations, printers, and peripherals.
  • Test solutions to ensure issues are fully resolved and follow up with users as needed.
  • Identify recurring issues, analyze trends, and recommend improvements to reduce future problems.
  • Create and maintain user documentation, including help guides and FAQs.
