About The Position

The Willow Ambulatory Analyst uses a deep understanding of pharmacy workflows, strong analytical skills, and knowledge of Epic to configure and maintain the Pharmacy Information System (Epic Willow) in support of the organization’s mission: “To improve the health and wellness of the underserved residents of the Heart of Texas by providing effective access to high quality comprehensive primary care and an exemplary training environment for tomorrow’s family physicians and other health care professionals.” § Obtain initial Epic Certification in primary application (Willow Ambulatory) and demonstrate ongoing proficiency and growth in system knowledge and skills § Collaborate with the IT and Informatics staff and others to deliver high quality integrated medical care § Configure Epic functionality to improve user efficiency/usability and patient safety § Work as a team to evaluate, test, and implement Epic updates and upgrades § User and provider record management § Support IT systems and support staff during new and expansion of services at WFM sites § Provide initial guidance and support to trainers and end-users during updates § Document build to facilitate cross-coverage and collaboration § Break-Fix documentation in a ticket-based workorder system.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in IT, Engineering, Math, Pharmacy Technician, Healthcare, or related field or equivalent work experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with clinical workflows in a retail and/or clinical pharmacy
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Exceptional customer service skills for effective interaction with team members and end users.
  • Possess a valid Texas driver’s license and appropriate liability insurance
  • Maintain relevant clinical licensure and proficiency
  • Visual and auditory accuracy
  • Understand/carry out simple/detailed, oral/written instructions
  • Memorize and retain instructions
  • Read and interpret detailed specifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist with other pharmacy reporting or informatics tasks as needed
  • Occasionally acting as back up support for non-primary Epic applications
  • Occasional after hours work & support.
