About The Position

Plans and oversees a district-wide asset management program. This role ensures that all Information Technology and CAC-owned assets are accurately represented in the web help system, establishes and enforces asset management procedures, and advises the Director on the state of IT assets. The position also coordinates district-wide disposal efforts for obsolete or unneeded assets to maximize investment recovery and facilitates the replacement of old technology for staff and faculty according to established schedules. Additionally, the IT Analyst performs and tracks approved purchases, conducts asset inventories, and provides training on IT asset management processes.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree - or - Professional Level certification - or - Demonstrated KSA
  • Two (2) years related experience
  • Will be required to be available for after-hours emergency response duties as a member of a 7x24x365 network operations team.
  • Travel throughout the district is required using own means of transportation.
  • Background Verification: As a condition of employment, all candidates accepting an offer of employment for a full-time, part- time, temporary, student worker, or volunteer position, will be required to undergo a Background Verification. Employment with Central Arizona College is contingent upon the successful completion of the background verification. The level the background verification for this position is: Executive level.
  • All applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position.
  • Knowledge of hardware and software lifecycle management
  • Knowledge of asset management best practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of CAC internal processes.
  • Knowledge and experience in IT hardware and infrastructure.
  • Knowledge and experience in IT systems with extensive knowledge in what capacity elements are necessary to support current software systems (e.g. RAM, Hard drive, processor, etc)
  • Skilled at working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent written, oral, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple, complex and varied assignments in a timely manner.
  • Must be well organized and able to keep meticulous records.
  • Duties requires occasional physical exertion, work with moderate to heavy (up to 50 lbs.) materials unassisted.
  • Duties performed cause light fatigue of eyes, fingers, or other faculties due to long periods of standing, sitting, and/or repetitive motion.

  • May occasionally be required to work in outside areas with exposure to heat or cold.
  • Working in high or confined spaces may be infrequently required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all Information Technology, CAC owned assets are represented, complete and accurate in the web help system.
  • Establish, maintain, and enforce asset management procedures and standards.
  • Develop procedures for use by departments to maintain and assist with the asset management database.
  • Advise Director on the state of IT assets.
  • Coordinate the district-wide disposal efforts ensuring obsolete, defective beyond repair, and no longer needed assets are properly disposed according to CAC processes and financial procedure, allowing for the greatest recoup of investment funds via transfer where market value still exists.
  • Facilitate the replacement of old technology to staff and faculty in accordance with the Support Services, Multimedia/Online learning replacement schedule and schema.
  • Perform all support services and multimedia/online learning purchases once purchases are approved through Information Technology processes.
  • Track purchases through receipt and ensure all assets are properly tagged and entered correctly in the Web Help system.
  • Perform asset inventories at all CAC campuses as needed.
  • Provide training to ensure all support services and multimedia / online learning are properly trained in the processes of Information Technology asset management at CAC.

This is a pension system that requires mandatory contributions from the employee with a matching contribution from the employer. The 26-27 fiscal year contribution rate is 11.98%. Please note this rate is subject to change on a fiscal year basis. Membership to ASRS is a condition of employment and is not optional unless you are at least 65 years of age and meet the opt out eligibility requirements, or are a retiree from ASRS.
