About The Position

The IT Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of Hale’s IT infrastructure, systems, and end‑user technologies. This role combines help desk operations, systems administration, networking, cybersecurity compliance, and project management. The ideal candidate is customer‑focused, proactive, and experienced in both hands‑on technical support and enterprise system administration within a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work under deadlines, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, networking protocols, and virtualization.
  • Experience with manufacturing environments, automation systems, and business applications.
  • Understanding of security principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Experience with telephone system support and enterprise LAN equipment.
  • Degree studies in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of IT technical support or systems administration experience in a Microsoft ADS environment.
  • A combination of education, training, and applicable systems experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical, communication, and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Help Desk, User Support & Desktop Administration Manage all help desk activities and ticketing using ServiceNow.
  • PC acquisition, configuration, installation, and ongoing desktop/peripheral support.
  • Train and mentor new employees in IT systems and solutions.
  • Systems & Server Administration Manage and maintain servers, storage, virtualization environments, and disk arrays.
  • Administer Microsoft Active Directory, including user provisioning, group policies, and patching.
  • Administer Veeam backup systems.
  • Support SQL Server, engineering applications, DNC systems, and FTP/Web clients.
  • Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and documentation.
  • Network & Telecommunications Provide LAN/WAN support, including switches, cabling, and wired/wireless networks.
  • Support Cisco UCaaS PBX systems and company cell phones.
  • Troubleshoot and monitor network performance.
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance Ensure cybersecurity policies and standards are implemented and followed.
  • Support and enforce compliance initiatives related to IT and data security.
  • Project, Vendor & Asset Management Manage IT‑related projects and task delegation.
  • Manage vendors, procurement, asset research, tracking, and secure equipment disposals.
  • Other Duties Collaborate with cross‑functional departments to support their IT needs.
  • All other duties as assigned.
