About The Position

LearnUpon is looking for an IT Administrator to join our team in Salt Lake City. This is a full time hybrid role, working 3 days per week from LearnUpon's Salt Lake’s City office. We’re proud of our success and we’re humble and hungry to achieve more. Our IT Team is responsible for maintaining the hardware, software and networks that all LearnUpon employees use. The role ranges from cloud systems administration, to scripting and automation, to operating systems maintenance to network troubleshooting. This is a generalist role, and an ideal opportunity to broaden your IT skills. You will be based in our Salt Lake City Office and will be the IT Team point of contact in the office, powering the success of our global teams. If you like troubleshooting all sorts of technical issues, have some macOS administration experience, and are genuinely interested in solving people's technical problems, this is the role for you!

Requirements

  • You’ve macOS administrator experience and demonstrable time spent under the hood of macOS.
  • You’ve experience administering standard SaaS tech stack (Google Workspace, Slack, etc.)
  • You’re approachable, trustworthy, and genuinely enjoy solving problems for others.
  • You’re comfortable with the physical side of IT - whether it’s tracing a cable, assembling a rack, or fine-tuning an A/V setup.
  • You understand networking fundamentals and can troubleshoot wired and wireless connectivity issues with confidence.

Nice To Haves

  • macOS-specific MDM admin experience (e.g. Jamf, Kandji).
  • You’ve hands-on experience managing Apple devices at scale.
  • Information Security experience (e.g. awareness / experience in relevant security controls required by ISO 27001 and SOC II).
  • Networking certifications or experience in WiFi and/or wired network design & troubleshooting.
  • IAM experience/certification (e.g. Okta, OneLogin, etc.).
  • Scripting experience in Bash, Python, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing our ticketing ecosystem, triaging and addressing requests whilst identifying and building automated solutions to deflect repetitive ticket types.
  • Managing our Salt Lake City wired and wireless infrastructure, ensuring always-on connectivity for our staff.
  • Managing the full lifecycle of our US-based macOS fleet - from provisioning using our third-party provider to granular user access management.
  • Refining and maintaining our A/V capabilities to make hybrid meetings feel seamless and professional.
  • Working with the wider IT team to automate repetitive tasks through integrations, AI and tooling that saves the team hours of manual work.
  • Troubleshooting complex issues across our Mac environment and the diverse SaaS stack our team relies on daily.
