Requirements

  • 1+ years combined inside sales/outside sales, sales asset management and/or equivalent industry sales or affiliate application engineering experience.
  • BS engineering preferred; other technical degree acceptable.
  • Strong business and technical product knowledge; application knowledge required.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills to include the ability to use intuition and technical experience to solve problems and complement data.
  • Strong customer service skills including prompt responses to customers, managing difficult customer situations, and meeting customer commitments.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated towards driving successful results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to be part of the team.
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and listening skills.
  • Ability to effectively plan, prioritize and organize individual work tasks.
  • Approaches the position with the understanding of doing it right for the customer and Company displaying the highest ethical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Works with the Digital Sales Representative to develop proposals, define a scope of deliverables, assist with developing a project strategy and advise on technical elements of solutions implementation.
  • Ensures the proper selection of products and services, particularly for Isolation Valves and Actuation, provided by the Company and the principals represented.
  • Applies product and application knowledge to solve customer problems.
  • Participates in the interface with manufacturers, customers, and sales team to provide expertise and direction on proper selection and applications.
  • Supports the sales team direction on customer expectations, pricing strategy, delivery of and overall project completion.
  • Participates in training of new hires and current team members as required.
  • Understands internal goals and how to positively impact sales team’s objectives.
  • Collaborates with cross-team sales groups as needed to obtain project information and determine the best path forward to serve our customer.
  • Educates customers on the full benefit of products, services, and technology and on the proper application of solutions.
  • Seeks to broaden scope of supply to cover as many Puffer-Sweiven products as possible.
  • Works with the quotation team to manage margins and ensure goals are being met.
  • Participates in internal training programs and helps educate and broaden the sales team’s general application knowledge.
