About The Position

The ISA Certified Sales Arborist is a dynamic Outside Sales role that applies deep knowledge of urban forestry and modern tree care in a highly interactive, client-facing setting. Sales Arborists customarily and regularly meet with new and existing clients away from Seattle Tree Care’s place of business — at client homes and project sites — to assess needs, perform diagnostics, and provide professional recommendations aligned with best tree care practices. The primary duty of this role is making sales and obtaining customer commitments for paid tree care services, including preparing and presenting proposals and securing approval for work to be performed. Beyond the sales function, the Sales Arborist translates field assessments into professional proposals, manages project details from estimate through execution, and coordinates directly with clients and crews to ensure safe, profitable, and high-quality project outcomes. The ideal candidate enjoys public interfacing, has an innate desire to continue learning about arboriculture, is driven by safety and goal achievement, and is self-motivated and organized. Strong communication skills, situational awareness, a commitment to team success, and attention to detail are essential. A practical background in the green industry is a strong advantage.
