About The Position

The IS Business Analyst serves as the liaison between business operations and Information Systems, supporting the software applications and technology platforms used within assigned hospitality business lines, including Lodging, Reservations, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage (F&B), and other operational departments. This role is responsible for gathering business requirements, analyzing processes, identifying system improvement opportunities, supporting software implementations and upgrades, and ensuring technology solutions effectively meet operational needs. The IS Business Analyst partners closely with department leaders, end users, vendors, and technical teams, using strong communication, customer service, problem-solving, and collaboration skills to support users and resolve system-related needs. This position requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, maintain strong attention to detail, and adapt effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment while optimizing system performance, enhancing user adoption, and driving operational efficiency across the organization. Full-time, year-round position with benefits eligibility. This position is located on premises in Breckenridge, CO. Transitional housing may be available. Position starts at $80,000 - $90,000 annual salary DOE

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED - required
  • 2+ years of business analysis, systems analysis, application support, or related technology experience - required
  • Experience supporting software applications or technology platforms in a hospitality, lodging, resort, food and beverage, or operational environment - required
  • Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, document workflows, analyze processes, and translate business needs into clear functional requirements - required
  • Experience supporting software implementations, upgrades, testing, troubleshooting, and user acceptance testing - required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills; experience with reporting, data analysis, or system documentation - required
  • Proficient in English - written and spoken - required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Hospitality/Resort Management, or related field - preferred
  • Working knowledge of hospitality systems such as property management systems (PMS), point-of-sale (POS), housekeeping, reservations, or related operational applications - preferred
  • Springer Miller System (SMS) and Alice experience - preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between operational departments and Information Systems for assigned hospitality business lines, including Lodging, Reservations, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and other resort operations.
  • Gather, document, and analyze business requirements, workflows, and system needs to support technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
  • Evaluate current business processes and system usage to identify gaps, improvement opportunities, automation needs, and potential efficiencies.
  • Support the configuration, testing, implementation, upgrade, and ongoing optimization of hospitality applications, platforms, and related technology tools.
  • Partner with department leaders, end users, vendors, and technical teams to troubleshoot system issues, resolve application-related concerns, and ensure timely communication and follow-up.
  • Translate operational needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, process maps, test plans, and other documentation to support system enhancements and projects.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing, validate system changes, and confirm that delivered solutions meet business requirements and operational expectations.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, training materials, standard operating procedures, and knowledge resources for supported applications.
  • Provide training, coaching, and user support to promote effective system adoption, consistent processes, and confidence among operational teams.
  • Monitor system performance, data accuracy, integrations, and reporting outputs to help ensure reliable information flow and informed decision-making.
  • Support vendor relationships by coordinating issue resolution, enhancement requests, project timelines, system upgrades, and service expectations.
  • Maintain awareness of hospitality technology trends, best practices, and business needs to recommend system improvements that support guest service, employee productivity, and organizational goals.
