About The Position

Begonia Brothers is currently hiring for an Irrigation Technician. We are a fun-loving, hard working team. Come join us in Northville, MI! As an Irrigation Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining commercial and residential irrigation systems. This requires a working knowledge of evaluating and repairing the pipe, valves, & wiring associated with the irrigation system. You must be able to communicate with customers and have a great attitude to maintain our trust, service, integrity, & customer service satisfaction. All employees are expected to carry out the company’s purpose and demonstrate our core values.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License, and be insurable by company policy.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems, and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in using computers and learning new software quickly.
• Must pass a drug and alcohol test and be capable of lifting up to 60 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Fluency in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Expert knowledge of landscape maintenance standards, knowledge of plant material, and installation standards
• Communicate Effectively in both written and verbal with co-workers and clients
• Project management and organizational skills
• Positive attitude and prepared to work in a cooperative team environment
• Be self-motivated and work independently
• Excellent interpersonal skills, outgoing personality

Responsibilities

• Repair all aspects of an underground irrigation system
• Install, operate, & program all lawn irrigation controllers
• Troubleshoot and repair any irrigation issues, including wiring, leaks, and general maintenance
• Must demonstrate exceptional customer service & communication skills
• Must maintain a professional appearance & attitude
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
