About The Position

The Irrigation Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure landscapes remain healthy and efficient. This position diagnoses issues, performs seasonal services, and provides technical expertise to support long-term system performance.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Valid Driver's License
1 year of experience in installation, inspection, and repair of irrigation systems.
Ability to read and interpret irrigation plans and wiring diagrams.
Knowledge of MS Office.

Responsibilities

Monitor and test new installations and overall operation of the irrigation system.
Inspect and troubleshoot irrigation systems to identify leaks, clogs, electrical issues, and mechanical malfunctions, as well as other issues.
Perform repairs and replacements on, but not limited to, valves, solenoids, wiring, controllers, sprinkler heads, and drip lines.
Program and adjust irrigation controllers, timers, and irrigation systems for efficiency and compliance.
Adjust spray patterns, check coverage, and make recommendations for water conservation.
Conduct seasonal services, including spring start-ups and winterizations.
Inspect company equipment, property, and vehicles, and complete pre-trip inspection report on vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
Maintain paperwork on projects, work orders, and issues.
Maintain inventory of parts and tools.
Investigate incidents, accidents, or emergencies.
Assist with training or supporting irrigation laborers when needed.
