About The Position

The Irrigation Technician oversees and participates in the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial irrigation systems. The role includes completing wet checks, basic controller installations, valve tracking and repairs, and helping with client upsells. The technician also monitors project progress, maintains job records, communicates with management, clients, and team members, and follows company safety policies. This is a full-time position; overtime and weekend work may be required during peak season.

Requirements

At least 1 year of irrigation installation and repair experience.
Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to read blueprints and irrigation layouts.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Florida Driver License required.
Ability to operate trenchers, pipe pullers, and other equipment.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to lift more than 50 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems, including controllers, valves, sprinkler heads, drip systems, and pumps.
Read and interpret irrigation plans and blueprints.
Ensure proper system programming and water management practices.
Perform seasonal services such as system start-ups, winterizations, and inspections.
Monitor job progress to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Maintain accurate job records, material usage, and daily reports.
Communicate effectively with management, clients, and team members.
Enforce company safety policies and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment.
Operate company vehicles, trailers, and equipment safely.
Complete wet checks, basic controller installations, and valve tracking and repairs.
Help with upsells to clients.
