About The Position
Rogue Valley Manor is Southern Oregon’s premier not-for-profit Life Plan Community, offering a vibrant campus across more than 600 acres with beautifully maintained outdoor spaces. We are seeking an Irrigation Technician to help maintain, repair, and improve irrigation and drainage systems while supporting a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and guests.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of experience in irrigation systems, drainage systems, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of irrigation hydraulics, systems design, and backflow devices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Experience operating landscaping equipment such as trenchers, loaders, or other machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair, and improve irrigation and drainage systems throughout the community to support healthy and sustainable landscaping.
- Troubleshoot and repair sprinklers, irrigation lines, valves, controllers, and electrical components.
- Install and maintain pumps, filters, and irrigation system components, including seasonal winterization and start-up.
- Assist in programming and monitoring irrigation control systems to ensure efficient water usage.
- Perform general groundskeeping duties during off-season periods, including manual labor and landscaping support.
- Operate landscaping equipment and tools safely while maintaining a high standard of performance and service.
- Follow safety procedures and respond calmly in emergency situations while completing other duties as assigned.
