We are elevating our game with a major renovation, including all-new TifEagle greens, Bimini Bermuda fairways, redesigned bunkers, new bulkheads, and a state-of-the-art irrigation system. Ideal candidates have a genuine passion for leadership. As an Irrigation Technician, you will be responsible for providing incredible guest service and member experiences by assisting with one of the most important aspects of the golf course — the irrigation system.
Requirements
- Must possess basic computer skills, including Word and Excel.
- Must have a strong business aptitude and passion for the golf business.
- Must be highly organized and efficient with a high attention to detail.
- Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- 1–3 years of turfgrass experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with the Rainbird IC System recommended.
- Knowledge of budgeting and expense management.
Responsibilities
- Prepares weekly schedules for irrigation repair, preventive maintenance, and watering cycles.
- Monitors inventory and use of all irrigation equipment, preventive maintenance schedules, and safety training.
- Works closely with the Superintendent in managing the annual budget for irrigation.
- Works closely with the Superintendent in preparing short-term and long-term strategies to improve water management.
- Institutes and implements all Troon Human Resources guidelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
