About The Position

The Irrigation Technician is essential to maintaining the beauty, health, and sustainability of our landscapes by ensuring all irrigation systems operate efficiently and reliably. In this role, you will install, inspect, repair, and program irrigation equipment while supporting water-conservation goals and maintaining the highest Four Seasons standards. You will work closely with Landscaping, Engineering, and Grounds teams to ensure a pristine environment that enhances the guest experience.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in irrigation, landscaping, grounds maintenance, or a similar role preferred.
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems, hydraulics, electrical troubleshooting, and water-efficiency practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret irrigation plans, maps, and schematics.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
  • Computer proficiency; experience with digital irrigation controllers a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced, outdoor working environment.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections of irrigation systems, identifying leaks, breaks, or malfunctioning components.
  • Install, repair, and replace irrigation lines, valves, controllers, drip systems, and sprinkler heads.
  • Program, monitor, and adjust irrigation controllers for seasonal changes and water-efficiency requirements.
  • Troubleshoot electrical irrigation issues, including solenoids, wiring, and controller communication.
  • Coordinate with Landscaping to ensure watering schedules support plant health and aesthetic standards.
  • Maintain accurate logs of repairs, system updates, and water-usage adjustments.
  • Monitor pump stations, filters, and backflow preventers to ensure proper function and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with major landscape projects requiring irrigation planning or rerouting.
  • Keep work areas, tools, and equipment organized and in good working condition.
  • Address urgent irrigation issues promptly and escalate when appropriate.
