About The Position
This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the City of Buckeye's irrigation systems. The role involves ensuring the efficient operation of water distribution for parks, public spaces, and other municipal areas. Responsibilities include inspecting, troubleshooting, and performing necessary repairs on irrigation infrastructure.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Arizona Driver's License.
- Experience in irrigation system maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge of irrigation principles and practices.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Ability to read and interpret irrigation system plans.
Nice To Haves
- Certification in irrigation technology.
- Experience with landscape maintenance.
- Knowledge of water conservation techniques.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of irrigation systems.
- Repair and replace damaged irrigation components such as pipes, valves, and sprinkler heads.
- Operate and maintain irrigation control systems.
- Identify and address water leaks and other system malfunctions.
- Assist with the installation of new irrigation systems.
- Keep records of maintenance activities and system performance.
- Ensure compliance with water conservation regulations.
- Operate city vehicles and equipment safely.
