About The Position
We are seeking experienced and dependable Ironworkers for a temp-to-perm opportunity in the Columbus area. This role involves hands-on metal fabrication, welding, and installation work in both shop and field environments. Ironworkers typically handle tasks like cutting, welding, aligning, and installing structural metal components and must be comfortable with physically demanding work and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Experience in ironwork, welding, fabrication, or similar trade preferred
- Ability to use tools such as grinders, torches, welders, and measuring equipment
- Comfortable working outdoors and in physically demanding conditions
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, and install iron and steel components such as gates, railings, structural pieces, and custom metal products
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements
- Cut, grind, weld, and fit metal materials using hand and power tools
- Assist with loading, unloading, and positioning materials on job sites
- Perform field installation and ensure proper alignment and secure connections (bolting/welding)
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety procedures
