About The Position

Ledcor is seeking skilled Apprentice or Journeyperson Ironworkers for a major industrial expansion project in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. The company emphasizes safety, quality, and craftsmanship. This role involves erecting, installing, and aligning structural steel components, performing bolt-up and torqueing, executing rigging and signaling for crane lifts, interpreting blueprints, and adhering to site safety procedures. The position requires operating and inspecting tools and equipment, supporting material handling, and completing tasks safely and efficiently within project deadlines.

Requirements

• Journeyperson Ironworker ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
• Apprentice Ironworkers must be registered with a provincial training authority
• Previous industrial construction experience
• Must be able to work from heights
• Fall Protection Certification
• Valid government ID
• Project online orientations must be completed

Responsibilities

• Erect, install, and align structural steel components (beams, columns, platforms, pipe racks) per engineered drawings
• Perform bolt-up, torqueing, and structural assembly to specification
• Execute rigging and signaling for crane lifts, guiding loads safely into place
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and lift plans to support accurate installation
• Complete FLHAs and follow all site safety procedures, including fall protection and permit systems
• Operate and inspect tools, rigging equipment, and access equipment
• Support material handling, site organization, and crew activities
• Complete tasks safely, efficiently, and within project deadlines, following Ledcor’s high standards for safety and quality
