About The Position

The Ideal Tridon Group is a global leader in clamps, strut, hose supports, conduit, fittings, and coupling solutions, with over 100 years of experience. They are seeking an Ironworker Machine Operator for their Garden Grove, CA Plant on the 1st shift. The role involves working in a manufacturing setting with structural steel and other metal components to assemble and install buildings and structures. The Garden Grove Plant primarily produces large strut assemblies for the construction industry.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow instructions and learn the production process.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Machine Operator experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Welding knowledge is a plus.
  • Must be able to clear drug screen and background check.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Frequently and repetitively required to bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach to perform work, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk and hear.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk and/or sit and reach with hands and arms.
  • May occasionally climb stairs, drive vehicles, and operate equipment.
  • Lift or carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must wear required hearing and/or eye protection.

  • Hilo certified or able to become certified in operating lift equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Adhering to standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
  • Interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and installation of structural components.
  • Cutting, shaping, and modifying metal parts using various hand and power tools such as shears or saws.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Using hand and power tools and equipment.
  • Lifting, carrying, and moving heavy equipment and materials as necessary.
  • Following safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Managing time effectively and communicating well.
  • Operating machinery.
  • Following instructions and learning the production process.
  • Maintaining organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Performing repetitive tasks.
  • Utilizing basic math skills.
  • Operating lift equipment (Hilo certified or able to become certified).
