Requirements

  • Four (4) years of experience in the craft.
  • One (1) year as a Lead or higher working in an industrial construction setting.
  • Familiarity with construction methods, techniques, and labor requirements as they apply to industrial construction projects.
  • Ability to effectively interact with project team members, clients, subcontractors, and craft employees.
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to effectively manage craft employees.
  • Hands-on job foreman experience.
  • Completion of Safety related certifications such as OSHA 10 or Safety council programs as required by company and/or client.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess a locking tool box and necessary tools to perform the job.
  • Must be able to successfully complete all required pre-hire requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Promote safety and work safely around construction hazards.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise construction activities of crews.
  • Review contract documents, drawings, specifications, and shop estimates.
  • Study project execution and tracking documents including the project execution plan, safety plan, QA/QC plan, schedule, man loading projections, equipment rental schedule, job cost breakdown, cost codes, installed quantity and labor tracking plan, and subcontracting strategy.
  • Maintain site-specific rules and logistic guidelines for breaks, smoking, shift times, and concessions.
  • Ensure project construction aligns with design, budget, and schedule.
  • Interface with Superintendent to ensure adherence to company, client, and project policies.
  • Interface with project team members to establish and resolve schedule issues.
  • Ensure availability of materials, drawings, manpower, specifications, tools, consumables, and equipment.
  • Provide prioritized work activity instructions to craftsmen and monitor progress.
  • Assist with the implementation and interpretation of safety programs.
  • Mentor craft personnel for professional development.
  • Learn and apply knowledge of local, state, and federal statutes and guidelines.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as directed.
