Iron Foundry Operator/ Core room
About The Position
Kohler Co. is seeking an Iron Foundry Operator for its Core Room at the Kohler, Wisconsin manufacturing location. The team manufactures cast iron products, and the position offers opportunities for growth and advancement within Foundry and Enamel Operations. This is an onsite, third-shift role scheduled from 9:54 p.m. to 6:18 a.m., with occasional mandatory overtime as needed. Compensation is $26.47 per hour, plus a $1.50 shift premium. The operator will learn and work with core room machinery, set up and clean machines, and assist with core setting for the HWS. The role requires following safety procedures and performing physical duties including bending, lifting, and pushing. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship and must successfully complete a drug screen and background check. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship, now or in the future.
- Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes.
- Ability to perform the essential duties, with or without reasonable accommodation, including bending, lifting, and pushing weight.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
- Consistent attendance and work performance.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least 1 year of manufacturing, industrial, or warehouse experience preferred.
- LOTO certified and PIV certified.
Responsibilities
- Learn all aspects of the core room core machines, including 7G’s, A-12, and the turntable.
- Set up and clean up core machines.
- Assist with core setting for the HWS.
- Perform other tasks assigned by supervision.
