About The Position

Acuren is currently recruiting for IRATA Rope Access CWB Level 2 Visual Inspectors for an upcoming turnaround at NOVA Chemicals in Joffre, AB. If you’re looking to work in a fast-paced industrial environment with strong opportunities for growth and hands-on learning, this could be a great fit. This role involves observing work in progress to assure conformance with requirements and acceptable workmanship, and inspection of process piping, power piping and structures from material verification stage to final commissioning and installation. The inspector will utilize applicable procedures, codes, and standards to evaluate test and inspection reports, recommending acceptable or rejection. Experience reviewing Work Scope Packages and the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

Valid and current CWB Level 2 certification is required.
IRATA Level 1 or willingness to obtain is required.
Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of ASME B31.3, B31.1, VIII.Div.1, IX,II, CSA W47.1 and W59.3 codes is an asset
Knowledge of NDT methods (x-ray/radiographic, mag-particle, liquid penetrant, etc.,) is an asset

Responsibilities
