About The Position

WQS Industrial Services Ltd. is recruiting IRATA Certified, Journeyman & Apprentice Welders for the 2026 Fall Turnaround Season, with major projects in the Fort McMurray region. This role offers a chance to join a dynamic team with a people-first culture and contribute to a season focused on excellence. The schedule is 6 days on, 1 day off, with 12-hour days, though this may vary during pre-work. The anticipated turnaround duration is from August 2026 to October 2026. Requirements

  • Rope Access IRATA Level 1, 2 or 3 Certification or interest in obtaining your IRATA certification.
  • Registered Apprentice or Journeyman Welder certification.
  • Must be Fit for Duty at all times and be able to comply with the Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace which includes alcohol and drug testing.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Demonstrate high standards of safety and align with best-in-class company culture.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience welding stainless steel.
  • Valid driver's license with a 3-year driver abstract.
  • Common Safety Orientation & Confined Space Certification.
