About The Position

Corewell Health is offering up to a $15,000 sign-on bonus to external hires. This is a FULL TIME-DAYS position with hours typically from 7:30 AM to 6 PM, with occasional shifts from 9:30 AM to 8 PM. About Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital: Opened on Jan. 24, 1955, as a 238-bed community hospital, it is now a 1,101-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma designations. The hospital hosts 43 residency and fellowship programs with 454 residents and fellows and is the exclusive clinical partner of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, with over 1,400 Beaumont doctors on faculty. Scope of work: Under general supervision, the Special Procedure Tech provides direct care pre, intra, and post for patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures to assist physicians and delivers quality patient/family-centered care. The incumbent may be required to perform IV starts, prep patients, monitor hemodynamics, operate equipment, document procedures, manage vascular access sites, and provide patient/family education.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited radiography program (JRCERT) for Interventional Radiology.
  • For Cath Lab/EP Lab: Graduate of Cardiovascular Technologist program, associate degree in cardiovascular technology/basic science, Paramedic license, Exercise Physiologist, or equivalent training and/or education.
  • Clinical experience required through graduation of one of the above listed programs.
  • 1 year of experience in EP, Cath Lab or IR is required.
  • IR requires BLS certification and active RT status upon hire.
  • Cath Lab requires BLS upon hire.
  • EP Lab requires BLS upon hire.
  • RT-CV or VI within 2 years of hire (for IR).
  • ACLS within time frame identified by each individual site with a maximum of 6 months (for Cath Lab and EP Lab).
  • Registered RCES/RCIS/RT certification (for Cath Lab/EP Lab).
  • IABP certification (for Cath Lab/EP Lab).
