About The Position

Corewell Health is offering up to a $15,000 sign-on bonus to external hires and internal new grads currently in a student role. This is a FULL TIME-DAYS position in Interventional Radiology, with hours from 7:30 am to 4 pm, and includes on-call weekends. Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital has proudly served residents across Southeast Michigan since 1953. With 632 beds, it is a major teaching and research hospital with five residency programs and a cardiology fellowship in partnership with Wayne State University School of Medicine. The hospital is verified as a Level II trauma center and accredited by the Joint Commission as a primary stroke center. It is also recognized for clinical excellence and innovation in orthopedics, neurosciences, women’s health, heart and vascular, and cancer care. The Lead Special Procedure Tech may provide direct care pre, intra, and post for patients undergoing Heart and Vascular procedures. This role requires adequate training and knowledge of cardiac, vascular, neurologic, and EP procedures to serve as a clinical expert and leader within the department. The Lead Tech must maintain and ensure the physician has the required equipment to provide quality imaging. Duties may include: IV starts, preparing patients, administering/monitoring conscious sedation, monitoring hemodynamics, operating equipment, documenting procedures, recovering patients, groin management, and providing patient/family education.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited radiography program (JRCERT) for Interventional Radiology.
  • For Cath Lab/EP Lab: Graduate of Cardiovascular Technologist program, associate degree in cardiovascular technology/basic science, Paramedic license, Exercise Physiologist, or equivalent training and/or education.
  • More than 5 years of Interventional experience.
  • Expertise and ability to train others in clinical skills.
  • IR requires BLS certification and active RT status upon hire, and an RT-CV or VI registration.
  • Cath Lab requires BLS and ACLS upon hire, Registered RCES/RCIS/RT certification, and IABP certification.
  • EP Lab requires BLS and ACLS upon hire, and Registered RCIS/RCES/RT certification.
