About The Position

The Interventional Radiology Tech Coordinator functions on the multidisciplinary team as a scheduler and schedule coordinator as well as an advocate, and educator for patients scheduled for radiology procedures. Responsible for obtaining and reviewing all pertinent medical history, lab results, imaging exam results for patients scheduled for interventional procedures. This includes providing appropriate scheduling and pre-procedure instructions. Preop and Postop phone calls and ensuring all patients receive quality and comprehensive services. Reviews available medical record and results prior to the patient's arrival to ensure patient care throughout the continuum in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Serves as a clinical resource with expertise in interventional procedures providing care management prior to and upon discharge from procedures. Provides guidance to scheduling appointments, removing access related barriers including insurance and answering clinical care related questions. Coordinator will assist with scheduling procedures as necessary. Serves as a liaison throughout the facility and in the community regarding services provided for this unique patient population. Data collection of results and volumes and assist in stratifying and reporting of this data.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • Non Degree Program Graduate from a two-year AMA approved radiologic technology program Required
  • 2 years experience in interventional radiology Required
  • 5 years experience in Healthcare Required
  • Reg Technologist (R) Required
