About The Position

Corewell Health Wayne Hospital is seeking a Special Procedure Tech to provide direct care pre, intra, and post for patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures. This role assists physicians and delivers quality patient/family-centered care. Responsibilities may include performing IV starts, preparing patients, monitoring hemodynamics, operating equipment, documenting procedures, managing vascular access sites, and providing patient/family education.

Requirements

• Interventional Radiology requires completion of an accredited radiography program (JRCERT).
• Cath Lab/EP Lab requires employee to be a graduate of Cardiovascular Technologist program, associate degree in cardiovascular technology/basic science, Paramedic license, Exercise Physiologist, or equivalent training and/or education.
• Clinical experience required through graduation of one of the above listed programs.
• 1 year of experience in EP, Cath Lab or IR is required.
• IR requires BLS certification and active RT status upon hire, RT-CV or VI within 2 years of hire.
• Cath Lab requires BLS upon hire and ACLS within time frame identified by each individual site with a maximum of 6 months.
• EP Lab requires BLS upon hire and ACLS within time frame identified by each individual site with a maximum of 6 months.

Nice To Haves

• Registered RCES/RCIS/RT certification, and IABP certification.
• Registered RCIS/RCES.
