About The Position

Responsible for assisting the Physician during procedures analyzes hemodynamics and EKG, removes sheaths, and uses sterile technique to set up laboratory. As an IR/Cath Lab Tech, you will Assist physicians during interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness and sterility Scrub, circulate, or monitor cases in accordance with role assignment and department needs Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, X‑ray, hemodynamic monitoring systems) during procedures Prepare contrast media, catheters, wires, and interventional devices Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic data during procedures and report changes promptly Ensure proper radiation safety practices for patients, physicians, and staff Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control and safety standards Document procedural information accurately in the electronic health record Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and post‑procedure care and transport Clean, restock, and maintain procedural equipment and inventory Respond appropriately to emergency situations following department protocols Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the procedural team

Requirements

  • Associates degree required
  • BLS required
  • ACLS required
  • ARRT and/or RCIS certification required
  • Previous IR/Cath Lab experience in hospital setting required
  • Requires 1 full weekend of call (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) per 6-week schedule
  • Requires 3 weeknight shifts of call (Mon-Thurs) per 6-week schedule
  • Requires 1 holiday per year
