About The Position

The IQC (Incoming Quality Control) Inspector inspects incoming materials, semi-finished products, and finished goods against inspection specifications, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and engineering drawings. The role protects production quality through accurate measurement, clear records, and prompt escalation of issues.

The position is based onsite at TeraHop’s Richardson, Texas location. The work takes place on a temperature-controlled production floor, and cleanroom entry is required. This is a permanent, full-time position employed directly by TeraHop.

Requirements

• High school diploma, technical/vocational certificate, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with common inspection and measurement tools, including calipers, microscopes, and test fixtures.
• Strong attention to detail and quality awareness.
• Ability to work assigned shifts and keep pace with production line requirements.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Prior inspection experience in electronics, optical transceivers/modules, or precision manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials, semi-finished products, and finished goods according to inspection specifications, SOPs, and drawing requirements.
• Use calipers, microscopes, test fixtures, and other tools to check appearance, dimensions, and function.
• Promptly record inspection results; isolate and label nonconforming material according to procedure and report it to engineers or team leads.
• Support quality data collection, sample retention, first article inspection (FAI), and 5S on the shop floor.
• Complete other inspection and quality-support tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
