About The Position

Millennium Space Systems, a part of Boeing Defense, Space and Security, is a small satellite company focused on national security space missions, including missile warning and Earth observation. The IPT Lead drives execution for avionics product development and is accountable for budget, schedule, and technical execution. The role leads a cross-functional team to ensure products meet technical objectives such as mass, power, and communications requirements. Products include guidance, navigation and control systems, batteries, avionics, power systems, and other satellite subsystems. The IPT Lead manages product development from concept through PDR, CDR, qualification, and production. The role works with company and program management, engineering teams, production, Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations (ATLO), and customers to deliver qualified subsystem products on time and within budget. It calls for technical understanding across a diverse engineering team, along with the ability to manage cost and schedule and drive program success. The IPT Lead also coordinates with counterparts responsible for other satellite program areas to ensure solutions meet program- and mission-level needs. This position is expected to be 100% onsite at one of the listed locations. The internal job code is Project Engineer, and the team is hiring at Levels 4–5. The role requires the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance and U.S. citizenship; the posting also specifies a final U.S. Top Secret/SCI clearance post-start. Applicants must be eligible and willing to apply for and maintain a security clearance. The position is at a facility requiring special access and is subject to U.S. export control requirements. The employer will not sponsor employment visas. The position is not contingent upon program award and is not safety-sensitive.
