About The Position

MRCI is looking for an IPS (Individual Placement and Support) Coordinator. This role involves supporting others using positive coping skills, problem-solving, and maintaining a sense of humor. The IPS Employment Coordinator is a full-time, salaried position in the greater Mankato area with daytime hours. Requirements

  • Experience working with persons with mental health disabilities or related conditions.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a human services related field plus one year of full-time work, OR Associate’s Degree in a human services related field plus two years of full-time work, OR Diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution plus three years of full-time work, OR Four years of full-time work experience under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications listed above and a minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities.
  • At least two years of supervisory, budget, and program management experience.
  • Benefits Coaching Certification or willingness to complete it to become a Level 3 Benefits Coach.

Responsibilities

  • Providing leadership and coordination to a team of IPS Employment Specialists.
  • Supporting a caseload of individuals receiving Benefit Coaching Services by ensuring their overall needs are met.
  • Ensuring team members receive adequate IPS training to support clients and their Mental Health treatment teams.
  • Hiring staff, completing performance evaluations, and providing guidance to the team.
  • Ensuring the delivery of quality and individualized services which meet vocational rehabilitation standards, CARF regulations, and IPS Grant Fidelity standards.
  • Preparing and submitting an Annual Budget and forecasting of operating expenses and equipment needs.
  • Providing and maintaining accurate program participant tracking to the IPS Team at DEED, including monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Preparing and updating annual IPS Grant for ongoing IPS funding.
  • Ensuring critical information is effectively communicated with staff, treatment team, county personnel, and VRS.
  • Staying up to date on requirements and following IPS fidelity standards to determine and support the planning process that best meets the needs of the participant.
  • Completing monthly field mentoring with staff and attending adult mental health treatment team meetings.
  • Facilitating reoccurring Fidelity Reviews and IPS Steering Committee meetings and assisting with progress for IPS Grant Fidelity.
  • Helping benefit coaching caseload and additional employment program participants make informed decisions by helping plan for benefits and work.
  • Carrying out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; providing performance feedback; rewarding, coaching, and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Following Fidelity standards by completing monthly field mentoring with staff and attending adult mental health treatment team meetings within Fidelity standards.
