About The Position

Konica Minolta is currently recruiting for an Industrial & Production Print Category Strategy Director! The IPP Category Strategy Director is the Subject Matter Expert for the Packaging & Labeling product lines. This role will help drive strategic initiatives to help current customers and unlock new opportunities.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of solid experience within the graphic arts, commercial / production print, or labels / packaging arena
  • 3-5+ years of experience in the inkjet, packaging and label market, preferably in a sales and/or product management role
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 75% of the time, including overnight stays.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and operate a computer and telephone for extended periods.
  • Capacity to lift up to 25 lbs. (e.g., marketing collateral, product samples, or demo equipment) as needed.
  • Must be able to participate in and present at trade shows, customer sites, and industry events.
  • Strong knowledge of labeling and packaging applications (digital, flexo, inkjet, or offset printing technologies).
  • Proven track record of developing product strategies that directly support sales growth.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com and pipeline management best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage executives, customers, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the long-term product strategy for the packaging and label segment.
  • Analyze industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop market-entry strategies, pricing models, and positioning for packaging and label solutions.
  • Partner with marketing and business development to create value propositions, sales tools, and campaign content that drive adoption and growth.
  • Work with sales teams to ensure healthy pipeline development across the packaging and label category.
  • Continuously assess the pipeline 120-180 days out to identify headwinds / tailwinds, and communicate insights to sales leadership, marketing, and cross-functional teams to drive corrective action programs and targeted promotions.
  • Monitor and analyze the sales funnel, identifying gaps, conversion bottlenecks, and opportunities to accelerate deal progression.
  • Provide deal support and expertise on product positioning for key strategic opportunities.
  • Partner with Area Vice President(s) to design account-based growth strategies within the packaging and label segment.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for packaging and label products in customer and industry forums.
  • Engage directly with key accounts to capture feedback and translate customer insights into product strategy.
  • Build strong relationships with industry associations, trade shows, and thought leaders to influence market perception.
  • Provide regular insights to leadership on product and sales performance, making strategic adjustments as needed.
  • Drive initiatives that expand share of wallet with existing customers and unlock new market opportunities.
