About The Position

At Apple, great ideas have a way of becoming great products, services, and customer experiences very quickly. This role is for an Engineering Project Manager within the Product Design organization, responsible for managing the development and implementation process for one of the iPhone Product Design teams. The individual will help lead a team of cross-functional partners and external vendors to meet overall program objectives, focusing on mechanical engineering design, development planning, and validation cycles of new iPhones. Key aspects include deep diving into material fundamentals, creatively solving challenging logistics and technical problems, and collaborating with inter-disciplinary teams to deliver optimal material solutions and products to customers.

Requirements

• Ability to lead multi-functional communication between project teams and external vendors
• BS Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
• Deep experience in NPI project management and mechanical engineering
• Ability to travel/work internationally 25% of year

• Experience collaborating with and facilitating communication across Design, Engineering, Operations teams and our OEM partners to meet very aggressive schedule, and quality goals
• Ability to independently drive projects though rapid development cycles and deliver a product
• Detailed knowledge of product development processes and strong understanding of manufacturing processes
• Understand technical issues and drive them to closure by bringing together key partners for decision making
• Provide project status across a wide spectrum of contributors to executive management
