The IPA Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and strengthening relationships with medical groups, Independent Practice Associations (IPAs), hospitals, and provider partners throughout Alignment Health’s Central Valley markets, including Tulare, Kings, Kern, and surrounding areas. This field remote role supports market growth initiatives and ensures IPA and provider partner performance aligns with the overall objectives of the health plan. This position requires strong knowledge of Medicare Advantage, provider and CMS guidelines, marketing considerations, and health plan operations. The IPA Manager will serve as a key liaison between provider organizations and internal teams, partnering closely with Market General Managers, Finance, Sales, Clinical, STARS, Risk Adjustment, and other cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives set by market and executive leadership. The ideal candidate brings prior health plan, IPA, or medical group experience and is comfortable leading meetings, presenting operational and performance data, creating presentation materials, documenting action items, and following up on provider partner initiatives. Strong operational skills, communication, organization, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel, are important for success in this role. During initial market expansion efforts, this role will require regular in-person engagement throughout the region, including meetings with IPAs, hospitals, brokers, provider partners, and internal stakeholders, averaging approximately 2–3 days per week in the field. As the market becomes more established, in-person meetings are expected to transition to a more periodic business-needs basis. Candidates should reside within or near Tulare, Kings, Kern, or Fresno County areas and be comfortable traveling throughout the Central Valley region as needed.
