About The Position
HPE is seeking an experienced IP Litigation Attorney to join our US Litigation team, reporting directly to the Director of IP Litigation. This individual will manage and strategize IP litigation cases, primarily focused on patent disputes, within a global high-tech environment. This position will be located in our office in Reston, VA or King of Prussia, PA. This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.
Requirements
- J.D. with current US bar membership; Patent Bar preferred.
- 6+ years of successful IP litigation experience, focusing on patents in district courts, PTAB, and ITC.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and business acumen.
Nice To Haves
- Technical background (engineering or related field) is preferred.
- Experience with high-tech products, especially networking.
- Familiarity with international IP laws, including UPC, Germany, and China.
Responsibilities
- Lead IP litigation from inception to resolution, collaborating with internal teams, outside counsel, and technical experts.
- Coordinate efforts across global jurisdictions, including US, Germany, China, and UPC.
- Communicate complex legal issues clearly to business stakeholders to inform strategic decisions.
- Manage multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
