Requirements

  • Prior patent experience in biotechnology.
  • Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in biological sciences, e.g., molecular biology, cell biology, microbiology, immunology, genetics, etc.
  • Superior academic credentials.
  • Registration to practice before the USPTO in good standing.
  • Attorneys must be admitted to at least one State bar where the firm has an office.
  • Prior law firm experience required.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative approach, sound judgment, and a commitment to exceptional client service.

  • Ph.D. in biological sciences

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and prosecuting patent applications relating to biologics or other large-molecule technologies.
  • Conducting searches and analyses for freedom-to-operate, IP due diligence, infringement, validity, and patent landscape assessments.
