About The Position

We are seeking an IoT Integration & Validation Engineer to join a growing product design and manufacturing business. This role involves bridging the gap between physical products and smart technology by specifying, sourcing, testing, and validating IoT devices and sensors to ensure reliable connected features before market launch. This is a hands-on position with opportunities for genuine ownership and growth within the company.

Requirements

• A degree in Electrical, Electronic, Systems, or Mechanical engineering, or equivalent practical experience with IoT devices, electrical &/or embedded systems.
• Proven experience testing, validating, and debugging hardware, sensors, or connected devices.
• Practical knowledge of wireless protocols such as BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRa, or cellular.
• Experience specifying and procuring off-the-shelf electronic components.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with compliance standards (CE/UKCA, FCC, IP ratings).
• Familiarity with CAD tools like SolidWorks.
• Experience with C, C++, Embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Specify, source, and procure off-the-shelf IoT devices, sensors, and hardware systems that meet product requirements.
• Design and run DVT/PVT testing protocols to validate smart technologies under real-world conditions.
• Troubleshoot integration issues across physical, electronic, and data interfaces.
• Act as the technical point of contact for hardware suppliers, test labs, and manufacturing vendors.
• Track integration milestones, timelines, and risks using tools like Jira, Trello, or Excel.
• Maintain accurate validation logs, schematics, and component specification sheets.
