About The Position

The iOS Software Engineer will work on projects related to proprietary implants, instrumentation, and design automation systems to enable personalized surgery. This position will build and evolve our iOS applications, focusing on delivering robust, intuitive experiences for surgeons and clinical teams. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern Apple technologies and grow your impact on our mobile products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 3–5 years of software development experience, with 2+ years focused on iOS
  • Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI
  • Experience with UIKit and hybrid UIKit/SwiftUI architectures
  • Solid understanding of iOS SDK, Xcode, and Apple platform guidelines
  • Experience integrating with REST and/or GraphQL APIs
  • Familiarity with mobile architecture patterns (MVVM, MVC, etc.)
  • Experience with iOS testing frameworks (XCTest or Swift Testing)
  • Familiarity with App Store submission, provisioning, and distribution processes
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and debugging skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in spine, orthopedics, or medical device software a plus
  • Experience with 3D rendering frameworks (SceneKit, RealityKit, Metal) preferred
  • React Native or cross-platform mobile development experience preferred
  • Experience integrating with and debugging backend APIs (REST, GraphQL) preferred
  • DevOps and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) preferred
  • CI/CD pipelines and mobile UI testing (XCUITest) preferred
  • Experience with medical device software standards (IEC 62304, FDA guidance) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI
  • Integrate with GraphQL and REST APIs in collaboration with backend engineers
  • Write clean, well-tested code and participate actively in code reviews
  • Follow and contribute to iOS architecture patterns and coding standards
  • Work closely with product managers and designers to translate clinical requirements into polished user experiences
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues across the iOS stack and device ecosystem
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing strategies for mobile
