About The Position

nyra health builds digital solutions that make neurological rehabilitation work outside clinic walls. Their iOS app is how patients do their therapy, featuring real-time ML speech feedback, hundreds of exercises, and is used across clinic iPads and iPhones. The iOS Engineer will own the app with a small, strong mobile team, focusing on the therapy experience, device performance, offline-first resilience, and shaping engineering standards.

Requirements

5+ years Swift
SwiftUI, async/await, Combine, MVVM
Quality-focused development: smooth animations, accessible UIs, craft in a clinical context
AI-native tools: Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent as daily infrastructure
Cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design, QA, and backend teams
HTL/Bachelor/Master's in CS or equivalent

Nice To Haves

Audio/media experience with AVFoundation, real-time processing
Multi-agent AI workflows
Performance profiling
Experience with published apps

Responsibilities

Own the daily patient surface: speech exercises, cognitive tasks, multimedia flows.
Set the bar for feel, speed, and reliability of the therapy experience.
Own the performance envelope from 2018 clinic iPads to current iPhones, including startup, memory, responsiveness, and offline resilience.
Ensure robust local persistence and smooth cloud sync for offline-first functionality.
Shape architecture, review culture, and testing strategy as a senior voice on the team.
