About The Position

We are sharing a specialised remote consulting opportunity for experienced iOS engineers with strong coding agent experience, practical mobile engineering judgment, and the ability to evaluate complex iOS application implementations across realistic technical scenarios. This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on iOS code evaluation, coding-agent-assisted technical workflows, mobile application review, UI architecture assessment, performance analysis, and production-quality app engineering scenarios. Selected professionals may use tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, or comparable coding agents to complete, review, and evaluate mobile engineering tasks involving Swift, modern iOS frameworks, app architecture, performance, maintainability, and production readiness.

Requirements

2+ years of professional iOS engineering experience
Hands-on experience building and maintaining production iOS applications using Swift and modern iOS frameworks
Regular use of AI coding agents such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, or comparable tools
Ability to evaluate generated mobile implementations, app architecture, UI behaviour, and performance decisions
Clear written communication skills and comfort documenting technical reasoning in a remote, project-based environment
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mobile Development, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field is helpful
Equivalent professional experience in iOS engineering, mobile application development, app architecture, or production software development is also highly relevant

Nice To Haves

Experience shipping production mobile applications is strongly preferred
Strong understanding of iOS app lifecycle, Swift patterns, mobile architecture, networking, persistence, testing, performance, and maintainability
Experience with SwiftUI, UIKit, Combine, async/await, Core Data, XCTest, Xcode, App Store release workflows, or comparable iOS tooling
Familiarity with mobile CI/CD workflows, app performance profiling, crash analysis, accessibility standards, localization, or design systems
Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, authentication flows, offline-first app patterns, push notifications, or analytics integration
Background in technical code review, mobile architecture review, app performance evaluation, or large-scale consumer app development
Strong comfort working in sprint-based project environments with focused technical assessment windows

Responsibilities

Use modern coding agents to complete and evaluate complex iOS engineering tasks
Review generated mobile application code for correctness, quality, maintainability, performance, and production-readiness
Identify bugs, edge cases, UI issues, lifecycle problems, architectural weaknesses, and failure modes in technical outputs
Apply professional iOS engineering judgment to realistic mobile application scenarios
Evaluate iOS implementations involving Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, app navigation, state management, networking, persistence, and user interface workflows
Review mobile architecture decisions for scalability, maintainability, responsiveness, accessibility, and long-term product fit
Assess app performance, memory behaviour, async workflows, error handling, and platform-specific implementation details
Provide structured feedback on iOS design decisions, code quality, and implementation trade-offs
Compare outputs from multiple coding agents and assess their strengths, weaknesses, accuracy, and practical usefulness
Identify where generated solutions succeed, where they fail, and where additional mobile engineering judgment is required
Evaluate whether generated iOS implementations reflect real-world app development standards
Document technical review findings clearly for project teams and quality evaluation workflows
Produce clear, structured evaluations of iOS engineering tasks and generated outputs
Explain reasoning around code quality, app architecture, UI behaviour, performance, maintainability, and platform-specific trade-offs
Support technical assessment workflows by documenting accepted work, improvement areas, and practical engineering conclusions
Help ensure outputs reflect production-scale iOS engineering expectations
