As a Counselor, you’ll play a vital role in delivering compassionate, high-quality care to individuals and families navigating mental health and substance use challenges. Counselors are responsible for delivering comprehensive clinical services aligned with program standards and clinical philosophy. This includes assessment, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, and coordination of care to support positive client outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree + 1 year of clinical experience
  • Associate’s degree + 2 years of clinical experience
  • Active certification such as CADC/CAADC or equivalent
  • Licensure as an RN or Physician with relevant counseling experience
  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
  • Ability to manage crisis situations effectively
  • Commitment to ethical practice and confidentiality
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset

Nice To Haves

  • LPC, LSW, LCSW, LMFT, or license-eligible status
  • Experience in mental health, trauma-informed care, and/or substance use treatment
  • Training in CBT, motivational interviewing, or similar evidence-based modalities

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ behavioral, emotional, and social needs
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions
  • Develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical team
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Participate in aftercare planning and discharge coordination
  • Support utilization review and clinical reporting requirements
  • Contribute to program development, curriculum, and training initiatives
  • Participate in on-call rotations as needed
