About The Position

Freedom Behavioral Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced IOP Coordinator to lead and coordinate services within our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). The IOP Coordinator serves as a key member of the behavioral health treatment team, overseeing patient care coordination, treatment planning, staff supervision, discharge planning, and program operations. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations while promoting positive patient outcomes and program growth.

Requirements

  • Licensed Social Worker (LMSW, LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Therapist (LPC, LMFT, or equivalent).
  • Current Mississippi professional license in good standing.
  • CPR/HeartSaver Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Completion of required safety and secure training programs.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health regulations, documentation requirements, and treatment planning.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and compassionate patient care.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of two (2) years of behavioral health experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience working with adult and geriatric psychiatric populations is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health treatment planning, case management, and community resources.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee daily operations of the Intensive Outpatient Program.
  • Supervise IOP staff and assist with clinical oversight of patient care.
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Monitor patient progress and update treatment plans as needed.
  • Facilitate individual, group, and psychoeducational therapy services.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
  • Coordinate discharge planning and continuity of care services.
  • Connect patients and families with community resources and support services.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant documentation.
  • Maintain program compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
  • Assist with staff training, development, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and program development.
  • Promote a safe, therapeutic, and patient-centered environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
