About The Position

Lazard is seeking an Investor Relations Analyst to support its engagement with the investment community. This role is critical in developing and communicating a clear narrative about the firm's financial performance, strategy, and value creation. The Analyst will work at the intersection of financial analysis, capital markets, and strategic communications, partnering with senior management, finance, and business leaders. The position offers significant exposure to senior decision-makers and external constituencies like institutional investors, sell-side analysts, and proxy advisors, with involvement in shareholder engagement and governance initiatives. The role's day-to-day activities will vary and evolve, generally assisting in earnings and external communications, market intelligence and positioning, and investor engagement.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of experience in equity research, investment banking, asset management, or investor relations
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation, and capital markets
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex topics into clear messaging
  • High attention to detail with strong project management capabilities
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment and to work effectively with executive management
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with S&P Capital IQ (including Cap Access) and CRM platforms preferred

Responsibilities

  • Preparing quarterly earnings materials, including investor presentations, CFO/CEO talking points, and Q&A
  • Developing clear, consistent messaging across earnings materials, investor meetings and conferences and broader external communications
  • Translating complex financial and strategic topics into clear, concise narratives for senior management and external audiences
  • Monitoring sell-side research to identify market trends, perception shifts, and insights on Lazard's performance; synthesizing and communicating findings to senior management
  • Tracking peer performance, valuation, and messaging to inform Lazard's positioning
  • Analyzing shareholder ownership including 13F filings to monitor investor base and identify target opportunities
  • Supporting coordination of investor meetings, conferences, and non-deal roadshows
  • Preparing briefing materials for the Head of Strategy & Investor Relations and senior management ahead of investor interactions, including investor profiles, key themes, and anticipated questions
