About The Position

This position is responsible for researching and building investment strategies as part of the Asset Management research and thought leadership function of Wilmington Trust.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years’ analyst experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years’ analyst experience
• Knowledge of capital markets or investment management industry experience

Nice To Haves

• CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation or progressing toward obtaining it

Responsibilities

• Work with senior members to research and start to build monthly strategy content for the Investment and Portfolio Management Committees.
• Develop and update supporting material and analyses for calls or meetings with client-facing Advisors, subject to review of more experienced Strategists.
• Proactively research pertinent investment strategy topics by summarizing and/or recreating analyses from research providers and academic literature.
• Independently develop investment charts and research for written investment materials as part of the Investment Strategist team to advise clients.
• Collaborate with senior members on written investment-related content for internal or external audiences.
• Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.
• Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
• Promote an environment that supports a culture of belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.
