About The Position

This role is responsible for recruiting, training, development, and supervision of the retail sales force. The position is directly accountable for meeting recruiting goals, as well as achieving established targets in sales, revenue growth, and profitability. The Investment Services Regional Sales Manager will cultivate long-range strategic sales goals in conjunction with retail markets, Regional Wealth teams, and external third-party broker dealers. They will also cultivate and implement sales strategies to generate new business within the branch network and establish and maintain relationships with local bank associates to gain support for promoting investment programs. The role involves using a consultative sales process to determine client needs, obtain commitment, and propose solutions, discussing benefits and risks of investment solutions. Additionally, the manager will develop individualized financial plans, provide guidance and coaching to advisors, continue to develop the licensed platform banker program, stay abreast of industry trends and regulations, develop centers of influence, and participate in community organizations. The position is responsible for modeling and implementing the One Wealth model, maintaining corporate standards for regulatory compliance, risk management, and financial controls, and establishing financial controls and assisting with market and regional financial forecasts and budgets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • 10 years of sales, investment, and management experience to include exposure to all facets of sales, business development and customer service and proven management skills including leading a team.
  • Must currently possess Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), series 24, series 7 and series 66 license and be in good standing. A current series 63 and 65 registration can substitute for series 66.

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting, training, development and supervision of retail sales force.
  • Attainment of recruiting goals in addition to achieving established targets in sales, revenue growth, and profitability.
  • Cultivate long range strategic sales goals in conjunction with retail markets, Regional Wealth teams and external third party broker dealer.
  • Cultivate and implement sales strategies to generate new business within the branch network.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local bank associates including Bank management, Regional and Market Presidents, and other Line of Business Managers to gain support, backing, and cooperation in promoting HW's investment program and the Bank's referral program.
  • Use a consultative sales process to determine client needs, obtain commitment and propose solutions with assistance Manager as needed. Discusses benefits and risks as well as other product features pertaining to possible investment solutions for the client.
  • Develop individualized financial plans aligned to each client’s financial needs and objectives.
  • Provide guidance, direction and coaching to advisors to assist them in performing their duties and to help them achieve their individual goals.
  • Continue to develop the licensed platform banker program.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and regulations, identify changes affecting the sales force, and take appropriate action to notify staff to ensure compliance with changes.
  • Develops centers of influence, and participates in community and civic organizations to promote goodwill and generate new business.
  • Responsible for modeling, promoting and implementing One Wealth model within assigned Wealth Teams across multiple markets.
  • Accountable for maintaining corporate standards for regulatory compliance, risk management policies and internal financial and operational controls for all activities.
  • Establishes financial controls and assists with the development of market and regional financial forecasts and budgets accordingly.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of a team of associates, carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws; Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding associates and enforcing policy and procedure; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
