The Analyst will work closely with junior and senior members of the investment guideline compliance team to implement and monitor investment compliance for CLO platforms, both US and European CLOs, and other Funds and Separate Accounts managed by Apollo. The Analyst will support and gain exposure to all aspects of the investment compliance program, including implementing policies and procedures, setting up and monitoring compliance tests in the firm’s trading systems, as well as reporting on and analyzing test results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with an excellent record of academic achievement, preferably in Finance or a related field
  • 2-4+ years of relevant compliance experience within a financial services organization
  • Experience with CLO investment guideline compliance required.
  • Familiarity operating within order management systems, e.g. Everest, Aladdin, thinkFolio, Charlse River, etc.
  • Base-level understanding of various financial instruments, including bank loans, corporate bonds, and collateralized loan obligations across a broad range of investment platforms.
  • Understanding that work schedule will require partial overlap with New York (EST) business hours.
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues while exercising independent judgment.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands to meet deadlines.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.
  • Proactive and organized self-starter with a positive attitude, powerful work ethics, and strong attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, experience with utilizing AI tools.

  • Experience with Everest and VPM preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review CLO Indentures to identify guidelines for concentration limits, eligibility requirements, coverage and collateral quality tests.
  • Facilitate set up and maintenance of compliance tests in trading systems to monitor investment guidelines.
  • Review CLO investment guideline compliance results generated through trading system.
  • Perform ongoing validation checks of investment guideline compliance results.
  • Respond to inquiries from traders and portfolio managers related to guideline compliance results.
  • Research issues with the fund operations team to validate position and other security-related data.
  • Complete reconciliation of investment guideline compliance results included in monthly reports from CLO Trustee.
  • Ad-hoc analysis and reporting on a variety of compliance metrics
